About us and where we started

GoodFood Enterprise is a KZN-based foodservice supplier

Originally specialising in frozen seafood, we have widened our net to supply our valued customers with a comprehensive GoodFood basket to meet their needs.

Our love for the ocean and fishing is evident in our rich seafood range and wealth of product knowledge and expertise.

From humble beginnings, the company has expanded to a fleet of 6 refrigerated trucks and 36 staff.

In 2019 and 2020, we rebuilt our cold storage facilities, introduced an NRCS-approved processing facility and obtained our Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) accreditation to ensure improved cold chain management, compliance and efficiencies. This investment has enhanced customer service delivery and the quality of the GoodFood products supplied.

Proudly supplying quality food and related products to over 350 customers in the hospitality, catering, ship handling, retirement home, and coffee shop sectors across KZN.

Our NRCS-approved Seafood Processing Facility and GFSI accreditation allows us to achieve unmatched quality in Seafood Enterprise value add range, which includes our sought-after Headless & Deveined and Butterflied Pink Prawns, Cleaned Falklands Calamari, Crab portions and packed fish portions .

We have entered different markets and explored opportunities to leverage our commitment to quality, service and exceeding customer expectations :

We collaborated with acclaimed Chef Marcelle Roberts of Café 1999, S43 and Unity to develop a range of heat-and-eat meals. With superb flavour profiles and generous portions, we elevated frozen meals to a delicious meal option for the family.

We appointed Chef Marcelle as our product specialist. Having worked in fine-dining for more than 20 years, she advises us on the best ingredients, offering tips, techniques and recipes to bring the restaurant to your home.

We launched an Online Store/Webstore offering home deliveries to bring restaurant-quality products direct to South African families. This goes hand-in-hand with our on-site Retail Shop where we have expanded the range to bring you outstanding local ingredients for a complete meal solution – from starter to departure.
